If I get a chance I like to take part in funny activities. I have been a member of an amateur theatrical company and took part in several other performances in school, church, theater and even town hall. I even have been an opera singer once; ok, it was a very modern opera, for which one doesn't realyy have to sing :).

I have been Saint Nicolas as well as Black Peter. Both nice roles to play, but the Black Peter role took a lot of washing afterwards! On this picture you see me as Black Peter at a dancing school in Apeldoorn in 1970.

During our concert I had to run from my drums, change clothes (take the uniform off, put a nice dress on), grasp my carpet-beater and assist my 'buuf' (Dutch for neighbour woman) beating her carpet. And in time, of course! The cute blond in the red dress is me, the other one is Jannie. The orchestra is playing the "Teppichklopferpolka".
